What should I do while waiting for a BS nursing program?

What should I do? I'm thinking of becoming a secretary at a hospital since I have some experience as a volunteer.

I'm having some financial trouble too,so i need a job that will make some decent money. I mean, my parents do make money (I'm living with them), but I want to be financially independent. They don't make a lot though.

What do you think? What's the best thing to do while waiting for the program?
I would go for UAP (unlicensed assistive personnel) positions. aides techs, etc. Secretary positions usually require some kind of medical experience. And if you know what specialty you're interested in, you can be specific about where you apply (e.g. PT/OT aide, doula, sitter, LTC aide, phlebotomist, etc.) I'm interested in OB, so I became a doula and I love it.
