Grown up and bit... resume changes?

A year and a half into a tele/step-down unit, I've decided it's TIME to go to the ER. WHOO! My application process has officially begun.. some questions about my resume, though...

Since this isn't my first job out of college, should I still add that section that lists all my clinical experiences during school?

Should I include my GPA and graduation date?

Should I add extra-curricular activities at the end of the resume? Volunteer work, etc?

I've heard to keep the resume as short as possible. For my first job, my resume was about 1 1/4 pages long and I did fine.

P.S. Are there as many ER positions for days as I hope there are?

Do not list all of your school clinicals. The only ones you should list are any that relate very specifically to the job for which you are applying. Only include your GPA at this point if it is exceptionally high.As for things like volunteer work ... include 3 types of things:1. Those things that are current and/or very recent2. Those things that relate specifically to the job for which you are applying3. Things that are really exceptional, major committments, long term things, etc.You are right in thinking that your resume should change now that you are an experienced nurse. Start to weed a few things out now. Focus on your professional nursing activities.Good luck!
