change to nursing

i am currently a business major, i have no science pre-reqs for nursing, but have made the decision to switch, i really want to be a nurse. I have been working in the ER for the last year and i LOVE it, i want to be a ER nurse so bad, but im having a huge dilema, after research online i see the lpn-rn is prob the way to go, as i am starting all over, and really do not wish to take anymore classes i dont need. After completing the LPN program would i still need to take the science classes to get into the lpn-rn program? Has anyone switched? i dont have my degree in anything yet.

also, is there any difference in the schooling for an ER nurse?
Good luck to you. Yes, the requirements to go LPN to RN are indeed going to include those science classes like A&P I&II and Microbiology, even thought the LPN might touch on these subjects in their ciriculum. You might want to take them now if there is going to be a waiting period between now and you starting the LPN program. ER Nurses are trained on the the job after you graduate and there is no special college courses you need. I gather the ER you work hires LPNs? Many ERs don't, or limit the number they hire.Good luck to you.
