Rue Education or excelsiorRating: (votes: 0) I am looking at different programs to earn my degree. LPN to RN and I am wondering if any of you had experience with online learning programs I already checked out College Network and decided against them. I looked at Rue and kind of like their program since it is somewhat structured. It is also one of the two that is approved by Excelsior. Anyone has had experience. Can anyone tell me anything. I would really appreciate it. thank you so much Mandie, Excelsior does NOT approve any publishing company such as Rue or College Network. In fact, they warn you about them! You do not need Rue or TCN to do Excelsior. They will add thousands to the cost of an Excelsior degree and, should you decide Excelsior is not for you you will NOT be able to get out of the contract.Check out the Distance Learning forum. There's a lot of information there. Comment: Hi Suesquatchthank you for your reply, however, I just spoke with excelsior yesterday and was told that they approve only of 2 programs which are 1. Rue Ed and 2. Istudy smart.I was told that I could do all of my classes just with them (meaning excelsior), however when I spoke to them you are pretty much on your own where with rue for example you have some guideance.I am from Germany and not very familiar with the college forum in this country, but I do not want to go to a brick and mortor college either.I was interested to know if anyone had gone through the program with Rue and what their experience was.Again thank you for you replyComment: AH, thanks for clarifying that.Comment: The College Network and RUE are not LPN-to-RN programs. The College Network and RUE are nothing more than publishing companies engaged in the business of selling study materials that eventually lead to a nursing degree from either Excelsior College or ISU. Therefore, Excelsior College or ISU are one of the 2 schools you're really dealing with. Most people are able to earn their LPN-to-RN bridge program nursing degree from Excelsior College or ISU without ever going through expensive publishing companies such as the College Network and RUE. In addition, people have attempted to get out of contracts drawn by RUE and TCN, and all were unsuccessful.Buyer beware. . .Comment: Quote from mandie_0917I was interested to know if anyone had gone through the program with Rue and what their experience was.Again thank you for you replyComment: Elkpark, thank you for that great advise. I am looking for nurses that have gone through the experience with excelsior or rue. When I spoke to excelsior it felt like they were not going to give to much guidance during the process and I am looking for feedback on anyone who has gone through the program. So again, thank you..I really appreciate you help.
