Anyone had luck networking shamelessly at nursing conferences?

Just wondering how useful it might be to attend some of the big nursing/NP conferences toward the end of my training and network shamelessly (plus learn a bunch of new stuff). Has anyone tried this strategy? It seems like it couldn't hurt, but I would love to hear from anyone who has had the experience of attending conferences and if they're useful for networking. Thanks!
