New Grad RN Job Hunting

I'm a new grad RN newly licensed (in MA) looking for my first job, but finding many RN job postings state, "This position not availble to new grads," or "experience REQUIRED." I'm wondering, is it taboo for a new grad RN to apply for an LPN position?
