this thread relates to my question about travel nursing. i have it that if you take on as a travel nurse..you're options are limited as far as the hours you want to work (days vs nights specifically). I am considering this opportunity..but am confused about the housing stipend. I am relocating, have a place to live, and i'm wondering how realistic it is that i would get a monthly 'allowance' for housing that i can in turn as for my own personal living expenses. has anyone had any positive or negative experiences to share as far as travel nursing in the southern california area? I am clueless and interested in how much money is made on average, the hours available, how long the assignments should be on average to start. also..as a travel nurse are you 'welcomed' by the staff vs hostility for being an outsider?
any help would be appreciated
