Hello, my name is Brandon and I am heavily considering joining the Air Force Reserves and becoming a commisioned officer (I have a bs in engineering). Will doing this hinder my chances of hopefully being accepted into CRNA school? I am currently an ADN student and will have the requirements to apply to CRNA schools in about 4 years, and the Air Force Reserve commitment is 8 years. The only fear that I have is the 2 weeks a year duty would keep me from being admitted. Hopefully not, I cannot see how it would be legal. Thanks for the feedback! - Brandon

I don't see how it would. Besides, I'm sure you can find 2 weeks out of the year where you don't have program requirements. You're right, I don't think it would even be legal for them to deny you entry for that purpose.
