Can ER Nurses work an 8 hour shift?

Rating:
(votes: 0)

Hi,
I want to work in the ER but I have two small children. Can ER nurses request to work 8 hour shifts? Or do most ER nurse have to work 12 hour shifts? Thanks
Depends on the individual facility.
Comment:
ER nurses can work any shift their employer will allow. I know at my facility there's one nurse that picks up a 4 hour 1900-2300 shift twice a week. They call this shift the "princess shift".
