1st, i had this posted in the "student" area, not realizing. this is probably a better place for this.

here goes again...this is not for me, but for my wife as i am helping her a bit with some direction after she gains her bsn.
she will start at iu the spring of 2011, (already accepted to the school) in the second degree bsn option for she will already have her mba as well as the nursing prereq's accomplished. i'm hoping that the title of my thread will firstly gain the attention of an "already grad from iu". now, my question...almost everywhere requires acute care experience, min. 1 yr. being that here clinicals and studies will be from iu, what should she expect for any job placement, or what avenue should she drive on to gain this required experience, directly out of school? i've heard more than once that riley would most likely take new grads, right into acute care.
again, hopefully someone here has "been-there-done-that" with iu and could possibly lay out some direction for her. thank you, dm
