Hospitals helping with tuition?

I am 20 years old, and from the east coast. I am about to receive my Associate in Arts from my local community college. It had not hit me until this year, that I want to do nursing. Call me crazy, but I always wanted to transfer to the University of Hawaii-Manoa. My family is not "rich" what-so-ever, so the out-of-state tuition would be ridiculous. But my co-worker mentioned about hospitals helping nursing students with tuition? Has anyone had education help from hospitals? Feel free to comment or criticize on my plan to move so far away.
