Best Nursing job for a mom?

Hello. I'm currently a BSN student and will graduate in the summer. I don't have kids right now, but plan to within the next 4-5 years. When I started Nursing school I absolutely knew I wanted to be an L&D nurse, I've had my L&D rotation & it only confirmed that I love that area. However, I also loved my Peds rotation- even the NICU, which I had 'written off' thinking I could not do that day in & day out. However, I've also done some community nursing and loved that. It seems like every area I'm exposed to I enjoy- Which is better than the alternative of hating everything I guess.

Still, I am at a loss for what area(s) to apply for a job after graduation. I see how a community nursing job could be appealing- working 8-5 M-F, having weekends and holidays off, etc. But I can also see how working 3 12-hour shifts having 4 out of 7 days of the week off can be just as appealing.

I can find pros & cons to each of course, and would just love some advice for those of you who have children and have worked in either or both of these settings.
