Plan on going for Vocational Nursing Jan 2012

Hi my name is Stephanie and i am new here, I am wanting to start Vocational Nursing next year Jan 2012 at a Institute near me. It is accredited in TX Board of Nursing, I plan on starting fresh going into Vocational Nursing new with no knowledge. Never been to college or took any classes or anything like that. I know they say it is very competitive and i understand but i feel and know i can go straight (just how my mom did a few years back) . Has anyone here gone straight in? what advice can you give me I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
