New Grad in a Clinical Safety/Research Job?Rating: (votes: 0) Since posting on Monster though I've been getting contact by employers... Not necessarily RN recruiters, but at least I know my name is out there. Anyway, today I was contacted about a job as a Clinical Safety Associate for a fairly prominent drug research institute nearby. They are looking for an RN, but it's not really a hands-on clinical kind of role, based on the description given to me. I don't really think this will give me much by way of the "experience" most RN positions are looking for (I want an inpatient job!), but would this be something that is even realistic for a new graduate? Does anyone have any experience with drug research? The description deals a lot with adverse event reporting, data entry, reviewing protocols, etc. Also: The position is for 6 months or more, but I don't want to be out of the RN job search for that long... Would it be reasonable to take the job but keep looking? I'm so lost. ![]() |
