British Child nursing degree

Hi, I'm new to this forum so please excuse me if this has already been asked. I am in my final year of studying a 3 year degree in children's nursing in Scotland. I am aware that the course that we do here is different to that done in America but I was wondering if anyone new whether I could get a job in America with the qualification I will have. I have family in America and would love to work there. I am more than willing to do further training if that is what is required.

If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them!

Suggest you check out the International forumUS training is general and you need clinical and theory hours in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Adult on your transcripts to be eligibile to sit NCLEX. Last I heard there are no courses in the UK to make up the hours if short. Unless you are able to get a immigrant visa via another route I suggest you also read up on visa retrogression as current wait of 5-6 years for a immigrant visa if you are the main applicant and able to find a employer willing to wait the several years it will take.
Hi, Thankyou for your reply, I will have a check at the international bit. My dad and my sisters are all American citizens so I think I can get a visa quicker than I could if I was applying on my own and I can get a working visa for a while. I will try and contact people to see if theres any way to get the hours in different branchs.Thanks
