Nursing jobs for RN's....still scarce ?

ok, how is the job market for RN's nowadays? I see so many threads on here that say they can NOT find an RN job!
then I read some threads that say they have found an RN Job.
I know where a person lives can make a big difference.
Still very scarce in most places. Average time to find a job for a new grad is 6-8 months across the nation. Some do better, some do worse.
Comment:
Try flu shot nurse. google that. Also, camp nurse too.
Comment:
Pay is not what it used to be--even for travel. I am concerned that after I get my np I will make less than what I used to make with my marketing degree.

The positions are there. How to get assigned to one is the big question.
Comment:
If you have experience the jobs are still there. Some rural areas are still hiring new grads. If you're looking in your area call recruiters and check the websites and see what it's like.
