new grad any interview tips?Rating: (votes: 4) Thank you all. Congratulations on your recent graduation as an RN! My advice to you is to be truthful, but in a positive light. You failed once but you persevered and did a redo, if anything you came out of the MED-SURG component even more knowledgable than some of your fellow peers who passed the first time through. I would not fret about the possibility that the question might arise--the one interview where I had to bring my transcripts, no one on the panel (nor the nurse recruiter) even made reference to it & I received some C's in my nursing courses. If an interviewer does bring it up I would suggest turning it into a positive stating that you had some difficulties but that you were determined, motivated, and persisted onward in your pursuit and eventually were successful in achieving your goal.Comment: Ensure you highlight your best qualities, you may not have as much experience but you havent picked up bad habits, and follow procedures by the book. Also the one question no one seems to be able to answer correctly is what can you improve on or what your weakness is, do not say nothing, always have an answer that is not serious, but is still something they want to hear. Things such as confrontation with co workers, things that your potential employer wouldnt be turned off by but at the same time are aware of how you see yourself and know that you dont think your perfect
