Worried I lied to Board of Nursing

[color=#494949]in 2006 i made an error and, therefore, was not honest onmy application for rn licensure to the hawaii state board of nursing (hsbn).
on the question "has any license ever been revoked, suspended, orotherwise subjected to disciplinary action by the hawaii state board or another state board?" ianswered no, but the answer should have been yes. my hawaii lpn license wassuspended from for 17months in 1988-1989. lpn license was reinstated without any stipulations.
i have become aware of the error/dishonesty, but the hsbn has not.
i want to notify the hsbn in order to correct the application, but i am afraidthe hsbn will revoke or suspend my rn license.
all advice is welcomed.
I probably would - I would just explain why you did not feel you were dishonest when you initially answered the question. I don't have experience in this area, but I can imagine things would be better for you than of they found out without your input. I find it strange that they didn't zero in on that immediately - they issued you the lpn

At this point, I would contact an administrative law attorney prior to discussing the case with the BON.
