Hospital vs. Nursing home interviewsRating: (votes: 9) interview for the neuro/peds job and take it if they offer it to you. Your chances of landing that job are high because you know the hospital system already. But still interview for the Nursing home job too. Keep interviewing places until you have a solid job offer somewhere. Good luck Comment: Interview EVERY time you have the chance, whether you think you really want the job or not. An interview is NOT a job offer. You can always decline if an offer is made, but until you have an offer in hand, you are unemployed. Never close the door on an opportunity prematurely. There is no guarantee you will get the peds job and if "politics" are keeping you from getting hired on your own floor they can keep you from getting hired on that floor too.Comment: I think it would be in your best benefit to interview the second time in the LTC facility. Because more often than not, they will call you in a day or two to offer you a position. This will not only allow you to gain more interview experience to your ideal job in neuro/peds unit, but also can be your default job if for some reason you don't get the offer from the neuro/peds unit!
