New Grad Out of State Move to MUSC advice needed!

Hi Everyone! I recently applied for MUSC New Grad Labor and Delivery Postion. I am from Chicago, IL and just graduated from an ADN program. I havn't sat for my boards yet. The status of my application says it has been referred to the hiring manager.
I am curious if anyone else has experience with MUSC. I have heard so much conflicting advice. Should I follow up and call the manager of labor and delivery in about a week to express my interest in the postion. I don't want this one to slip through. It would be the biggest oppertunity to jump start my career. Do you think that being out of state will be downfall? Or the fact that IL is not a compact state and may be more of a challenge to get a SC license?
