New grad..bad job

I moved across the country right after graduation to follow my military husband. I, like many new grads, had a difficult time finding a job because everyone in this area wanted at least 2 years of experience. I finally got a job working part time in a doctor's office. I was very grateful for the job, but it's a very small office, and I feel more like a MA than an RN. Things there are very different than how I was taught. I'm was also lucky enough to get PRN at the local hospital in the LTCU, hoping to get my foot in the door for the hospital. The doctor's office however will expect me to come in on a 5 minutes notice on my days off if they want me there- especially once I informed them I would be PRN at the hospital.

I have only been at the office for 4 months, but I'm miserable there. Now that my foot is in the door at the hospital, I want to try to find a full time ER position there. But I'm afraid a short stint at an office will look bad on my resume. I'm stuck on what I should do! Please help me!
. Pursue the PRN job . I dont think they will count the office job as an experience. Goodluck
I worked four months in LTC, and left for another job. I don't think it will/has hurt me. I learned a lot, and did enjoy it. However not the pay, distance and staying late every night. You don't have to include it on your resume, but I would think every experience counts. Best of luck in your new job.
