Nursing Job After Disciplinary ActionRating: (votes: 0) Are there any programs out there to help nurses in these types of situations? Are there any employers willing to meet with these nurses? Are there any employment services that we could offer to nurse in this situation who has children that she cannot feed? The are just preliminary thoughts but worth it I think. I am a member of a fb group of nurses in these types of situations. I'd like to know from actual employers mouths what are the chances of us working again? Where should we try to get a job? Anything we should know ahead of time? hope There are different types of disciplinary actions & the re-entry process is different, depending upon the offense. Appropriate interventions for nurses who have problems with competency or violations of their nurse practice act are very different from those who are substance abusers or drug diverters. Since professional licensure is managed at the state level, each state defines it's own processes. I think that you will find that most states have defined programs for substance abuse. |
