Fired...How do I get a job outside of Nursing?

Rating:

Was recently fired from a HH position (that I secretly hated anyway), and I am so depressed that I may have to get a travel job in order to survive for the next few months...
I know that sounds awful of me, so I guess my question is, how does one market their resume to get a job outside of nursing?
I've explored Med/Surg (small and large hospitals), office work, travel, and HH and never enjoyed any of it.
How can I convey to future employers that I'm not just waiting for the next nursing position to come along and that I want something new and different?
Thank you :-)
The key to marketing yourself - for any job - is to ensure that the prospective employer clearly understands that your skills and abilities are a good match for the job in question. So, you need to describe them in general (non-nursing) terms. This would undoubtedly include things like: Computer literacy, spoken & written communication, customer service, critical thinking, time management, etc.Best of luck to you.
