New grad RN salary in Florida 2014

Hi all, just curious. I was finally offered a position as an OR/Recovery Room nurse at a cosmetic surgery center in south FL. The pay rate for a new grad RN is 20/hr. I have heard many comments about the low pay rate in FL, especially for new grads. Is this pay rate too low?

I am also an OR nurse in So. Florida and was hired as a new grad for a bit more than your hourly rate. Perhaps it is because I am in a hospital and was in the facility's training program for 6 months. Most of the nurses I graduated with are making between $21-$22/hour. Best of luck to you!
I have asked around and it seems like the going rate for a new grad RN in Florida is between $21-23/hr. I guess what they are offering me is right around the ballpark, especially considering that it is a surgery center and not a hospital where pay would be a bit more.

its about 18/hr for new grads in the Florida pan handle
That's crazy! Tampa Bay Area starts off from $25-30!
Ft lauderdale area 23$ base pay and my friends are making around the same as well.
I start at $22 in Palm Beach County but the hospital I'm at is on the lower spectrum compared to some other people I know. But I looked for jobs like crazy so I'm going to take what I can get

What about the going rate for an RN with 1 year of experience? Specifically critical care.
