? for nurses who work at University (Charity) in New Orleans

Is there a trauma team that handles the major traumas that come into the ED, or does everyone handle everything that comes in?
I'm not sure you're going to find any Nurses who currently work at Charity, I it's been closed since Hurricane Katrina.

If it has reopened I am not aware of it. My only experience with Charity Hospital has been caring for desperately sick patients airlifted out of there after being trapped for a week after Katrina.

Charity is not re-opening. The trauma center has moved to University Hospital, but on the website the trauma center is named the Spirit of Charity level 1 trauma center. Thank you for the replies
