Here's my guess...I believe Community Health is offered to general public, in their community(not necessasarily in a traditional health care setting). This could be a clinic or a health dept type thing. Primary care is usually offered in more traditional setting, not offered to general public, would be more specific care of individual. I'd say community health could consist of primary care but primary care could have little to do with community care. I guess I ma saying it has more to do with access to care.

It's best to do your own homework, critical thinking, textbook, etc. You will have your own cookies then.

Based on NPJoel's profile he is already an NP.. and even if this is homework I do not see the big fuss in asking opinions. Seems like very other post every one is more then willing to put their 2 cents in. If you do not know the difference or do not wish to guess or post opinion then don't. So maybe he should have said this is my homework and I want opinions! No need to bash the poster.

Who cares? It's a discussion board. If you don't want to discuss his topic then step off. Primary care? I don't know. I see community health more as preventive care for the masses although preventive care is available from primary care providers.

We learn more by sharing our knowledge. I agree with ImThatGuy. This is an open discussion board. Here is what I think,,, Community health is more focused on teaching and treating preventive illnesses such as flu, pneumonia, AIDs, STDs, stop smoking, ect... Primary care is provided through your pcp such as childhood immunization and routine health checkups and whatever you need to see your doctor for.

Sorry but I think it is best if the OP posted his answer and ask if we all thought he was going in the right direction, needed guidance etc, this is his homework, he is in school, many things I learned in school stick in head because I got them wrong on a test, in a classroom or in a paper, it is part of the learning process, along with learning where and how to find and answer.

No one appointed you hall monitor..If you do not know the answer.. then skip this post.
