PoliciesRating: (votes: 0) At my job, you can only have 3 "call out" occurrences before you receive a written warning. If you have children, you receive 5 call out occurrences. my facility is fairly strict about call outs , even if the employee is unable to work (e.g. contagious) and has a Dr note, it is still counted against them. Last edit by NurseyPoo7 on Mar 21, '11 Where I work we get 6 days, non-dependent on if you have children or not. However if you miss 3 consecutive days for the same "reason" it only counts as 1 occurance. Does your facility have any form of self-governing body? Comment:
Hey! Why would it matter if you had children or not? That is discrimination. Every hospital I have ever heard of has nurses who sit on boards with administration to try to make things fairer for all nurses. See if you can get to talk to one of those nurses are send an email.
