Unaccredited Nursing School ScamsRating: (votes: 0) I've been reading so much about these unaccredited nursing schools in Southern California and was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with them... I'm doing a little research and would love to talk to you about it. Right now I'm looking into RN Learning Center and Nightingale International. It seems that they don't accept any transfer credits and they send their students to the Philippines for their last month to do their clinicals. Does anyone know of any other scam school I should be looking at? Let me know... Look up your state board of nursing website. It has a list of all approved nursing programs in your state. If a school is not listed on the BON website then it is not approved in your state and if you choose to go to such a school you won't be eligible to get a nursing license in your state. Comment:
My state BON website has a list of unaccredited nursing programs.

during my clinicals I met a CNA who who was attending the RN Learning Center. She said you get your BSN in 2 years and the total cost is $34,000. When I talked to her she just came back from the Philippines, and said she delivered babies over there. But I think I read another post, where someone who graduated from there can't get a job anywhere. There is actually a warning on the CA BRN about schools like this, I don't know why there even still in business. By now, I would have thought someone would have sued them or shut them down. You would think something like this should be illegal.

Quote from Eduardo99Hi, I just found out that my fiances school was a scam....she paid $20,000 US for a nursing program which was supposed to get her , her BSN degree...I feel so bad cause she put so much effort into it, and her family helped pay for those dollars. Even I lent her money thinking it was for her future, now she sits at home crying because all her dreams have just been shattered I'm so upset I have no words to explain it...She has no idea what to do, or how to pursue getting her money back....please somebody HELP!
