how do i get acute care experince

I graduated in aug passed boardsin oct. My current employer offered me a full time position in snf. Its now been a few mnths and I wonder am I digging a hole for myself? I just don't see how one gets into the hospital. I'm. In. The suburbs of philly. Any thoughts or words of wisdom???
I would keep applying and also taking med/surg kind of classes. Make yourself known to HR.

Does your SNF have a relationship with a hospital? You could try that route. Like the above poster, I would say to talk to HR. Call them up and ask what kind of experience they are looking for and if you they have any openings. You would perhaps be hired into a new grad job but check with them on that.
