What are my Chances? Kind of bummed :(

I'm currently working at the hospital, and I'm really wanting to get out of there. I interviewed today for a great office position that I found out about through a friend, and we are pts at this office too so they are familiar with me. The interview was wonderful!!! Talked to everyone, and I loved it there! Anyway, they let me know that someone else already in the company in a different location is interested in the opening at the location I interviewed. They are interviewing her as well and letting us know this week sometime.

They said they think I would fit in there really well, and they are needing someone who clicks with them since it's a small office. So I guess they are interviewing her as well to see if she will fit in. They had interviewed several people and told me no one seemed to mesh well with everyone.

I'm kind of bummed b/c I really want this job, but I'm thinking that an internal person has a much higher chance of getting the position I guess we'll see.

Hope in a few days you are emailing us from the Office !

Going the extra mile to send a hand written note is what has sealed hiring on my last 2 external candidates. You need to go ABOVE the norm to show you are best candidate.

I really hope you get the office job. I know how it feels to want to leave the hospital setting and I did leave and I am still satisfied with my decision. I wish you the best!!!!
