Transition from CMA to RNRating: (votes: 0) Not sure what your previous duties entailed, but now you are responsible for the patient in ways you never were before. Remember MASLOW's. Safety first. Comment:

ohh haha! I am sorry, upon further inspection of Google, i found this out. And i have no idea, I am going to take a CNA course this spring... Good luck to you though, I believe you will have to start from scratch and still take pre-reqs

I was a CNA before I became a nurse...Big difference! I wanted to be the one who helped and did the minor things on top of doing all my nursing things. I had a hard time in the beginning delgating because I thought I was there once and I know how busy they are double the patient load that I as a nurse have. Well, I learned real quick that trying to not delegate caused me to be there way after my co workers went home. My advice delegate the things that you can until you get caught up with your nursing stuff and help out when you are not busy! Nursing is a whole new ball game! Welcome!

Thank you for the advice. I look forward to this new stage in my career.
