Best Path to Wound Care Nursing?

Hi all,

Hoping to pick your brains for some advice to moving my career toward wound care. I work on a Med-Surg unit and my hospital only has 1 wound care nurse who doesn't seem to be leaving anytime soon.

I'm hoping to get as much training (certifications, training programs etc.) as possible to learn about wound care and would like to know what certifications are best and what is needed to obtain those certifications. Thanks in advance.
