Day Shift Jobs In Nursing?

I am currently a critical care nurse on a cardiac floor and I work night shift. Although I love my unit, I'm not loving the hours. I have had a horrible time with sleeping and it's starting to affect my health. I can't do a traditional 12 hour day shift either because I wouldn't see my small children and my hubby can't do all of the taking and picking up from school due to his job. My question is: are there any nursing professions that keep a more traditional 7-3 or 8-5, etc. schedule in a hospital? Thank you for any advice!!
It varies by institution. Not ALL facilities, or all units, are 12 hours. Ambulatory care, ambulatory surgery, case management, and sometimes psych, are often 8 hours. School nursing follows the general school day & years schedule.

Comment:
PACU or ER may be a good place to look with your experience and may have 8, 9, or 10 hour shifts.

Home health probably offers one of the most flexible schedule you can find in nursing. Not strapped down to a facility for so many hours in a day, can see 2-3 patients real quick in their homes and spend the rest of the day at home.

Just wanted to chime in and see that some parents find that they actually get to see their kids MORE when they do 12s, because you only end up doing 3 days a week (obviously averaged over whatever your pay period is).I hate not seeing my kids for 24-48+ hours when I am doing a run of twelves. But it is SO WORTH IT, because over all, I am home more than I would be if I was doing 8s or even a traditional 9-5 schedule.
