Pre-Nursing Study Tips?

Hi Everyone,

I've been accepted to attend an accelerated BSN program starting this summer and I want to get a head start on studying. I am already reviewing my A + P notes, and I'm planning to learn some medical terminology too. Is there anything else I should do to prepare??

Hello Boston,First off, congrats on being accept to the nursing program,way to go!!!. I would recommend review of the disease process within each bodysystem, including etiology, s/s, treatments/meds etc...Dosage Calculation was abiggie for first year also, along with "check offs" of IV insertionand setting up lines/pumps then there is trach care, cath insertion, sterile dressing change (all 3 requiring sterile technique...so practice, practice, practice). I am sure there is much more, but this is just off the top of my head, hope this helps...Goodluck too u
