new mom new grad freaked outRating: (votes: 0) Yeah, if you're looking to avoid stress, a SNF is the LAST place you need to be working - it will be as bad if not 100x worse than a hospital floor. Comment:
Try looking towards a doctors office or a school nurse postion

thats a really good idea. thanks

Does your doc know you're pregnant? And he's prescribing you Buspar? I am assuming he's ruled out a paroxysmal tachycardia, which would do all of the above; if he hasn't, and he hasn't looked at your thyroid levels, go back and ask again. If all that checks out, ask for a stat referral to a CBT therapist. Situational anxiety is quite treatable with cognitive-behavioral therapy.

My doc suggested that I should stop taking the buspar due to the fact that its not working, I am going to get my thyroid checked soon. I just want to feel better.

I'm sorry that happened. I know how hard we all work to be where we are. And it would be difficult to hear someone say "maybe you should find something less stressful". Doc office nurses, no matter the practice have been sweet. I'm sure the flow would be different to try to learn, but that's a good recommendation. So is a school RN.
