Home health--nursing suppliesRating: (votes: 0) I work for a home health agency as a field nurse. I keep most of my nursing supplies in the back of my car. During the summer time, the heat can get extreme and damage some of the supplies. I try my best to find a shady spot to park my car, but it is not always possible. Any advice or recommendations on how to keep the trunk cool? Thank you for your help. You might want to check out the home health forum to see if this has been discussed there in the past. Frankly, if this were the case, I would leave the fragile supplies at home on days that I know will be hot. Or fill a cooler with ice and place them in there, sealed in plastic zip bags. Comment:
I replace my catheters and blood vials often. I keep my INR unit in my bag. Hydrocolloids can go in the bag too.
