Hi everyone! Okay so I'm currently finishing up my Pre-Reqs at Sinclair that I need before I can apply for the nursing program. I take my TEAS test here soon, and I'm very nervous for that. After I pass that, hopefully I won't have to wait too long to make it into the nursing program because I went to CTC for the allied health program, so students that completed that program are supposed to jump ahead in the line. I guess what I'm really posting about is tips for the TEAS test, and is the nursing program really as tough as everyone says it is? I know it's going to be hard, but does it really keep you from doing other things such as spending time with family/friends/boyfriend ect.? I've heard you don't have a life during the program, which I'm hoping isn't true! Thanks in advance for all the advice!

As far as the TEAS goes...get the ATI TEAS test prep book and read and learn it front to back. It covers most everything that will be on your test. I also got the McGraw test prep book and it helped reinforce ideas and also included some life science that wasn't included in the ATI book. Allow yourself several weeks to study and practice the material. Most schools will allow you to take it twice, so unless you get an excellent score the first time around, I would suggest taking it again to try and better your score.ATI also has practice tests on their website that you can purchase. I would take one of these prior to taking the exam so you can gauge where you are at. Good luck..feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
