New Grad Residency

Hi all,

I graduate in December and I will be applying to some new grad residencies sometime next semester. To all nurses, recruiters, etc., what stands out to you on a cover letter/resume of a new grad with no prior experience?

Does volunteering in the area applied for help? Preceptorships in the wanted area? Anything that you guys could think of please do tell! I know it's not easy landing a job as a new grad and I want to make this journey as easy as possible!
