Desperately seeking an MA job at Parkland Hospital(Dallas) before/during Nursing!

I am a Certified Medical Assistant and would absolutely love an Medical Assisting job before and while going to Nursing School at Parkland. I have applied for a few jobs on their website but have zero zip job experience in the area. I was told by a talent recruiter that this doesn't matter and many MA's have been hired right out of school, but for me it has been since 2013' due to me taking some time off after school to attend to family. I also need to re-certify my credentials which doesn't help either when filling out an application. I plan to do so soon since it is not cheap! At the present time I am taking my prerequisites for Nursing so that I may attend school in the near future. I hear that Parkland is the best as far as teaching/experience and would LOVE the benefit of doing so. I am an older future student (40! YIKES) but passed Medical Assisting school with a 4.0, so I figured that this would help. I just need to know what I can do to make myself stand out above all of the rest of the applicants. Any help/advice is much appreciated for I feel nursing as well as helping/caring for others is what I was meant to do!!
