VA Hospital nursing

Anyone have input about VA hospital nursing? The Albueiqre VA specifically? Have been offered a job there , anyone work there?
From what I hear it really varies depending on the area. I enjoyed the VA as a RN. The pay was good, benefits great, co-workers so/so and for the most part the vets were amazing. The cons were there are some employees who it would seem can't be fired no matter how lazy or poor their attitude is but for the most part it was an easy and fairly pleasant job. When I got my NP I had hoped to stay with VA but the offer they made me was so insultingly low that I didn't even consider it.
