IELTS and Nursing Career

Hello guys, what's the advantages of being an IELTS passers when it comes to nursing? Is it required when taking the NCLEX? I hope you could help me with this. I'm planning to take the IELTS exam.
English exams are usually required by state boards of nursing so a lot will depend on the state you plan on applying to. Ielts may also be required if a visa screen is required if you are the initial main applicant for a immigrant visa
