Michigan nursing standards for CEU's

I received my license in 2011 and didn't need any CEU's to renew in 2012. This March I need 25 credits in order to renew in the state of Michigan. Can I take any courses that I want or do I need to go through certain associations for the credits to count? I keep getting brochures to earn all my CEU's for $18.50 through Elite Education, but I'm not sure if these would actually count if I were to get audited. I don't want to earn my credits and find out (should I get audited) that the program I used was a scam.

Please help a semi-new nurse keep her license. Any comments or advice on the best places to earn credits would be very helpful.
Check with your BON - they will have explicit rules and information you can follow. Normally, courses that are 'CNE approved' meet the ANA standards for continuing education and that is the universal standard for the US.
