Msw vs. Nursing?

Masters in social work vs. Nursing

In your opinion especially for those who have don't both careers and switched to the other. Which one do you feel is a better career, whether it's in terms of pay, job growth, opportunity, satisfaction, etc.

I'm in a constant debate of going back and forth between wanting to be a psych nurse or a mental health social work.

Is there a lot of overlap within these two lines of work?
Social work pay is garbage compared to nursing. No contest in that department.

The only MSWs I know are therapists; They probably make more than those who are in case management. The only "overlapping" that may be possible is in case management; however the case managers that I worked with were RNs. I have worked with social workers in LTC; but there really isn't any overlapping; most have no idea the realm of nursing at all.

Quote from DrangerYes, it's not even close. I have no idea why people go into SW unless they REALLY like people
