What are some nursing jobs that involve a lot of travel?

I like the idea of being on the move. I love flying and don't mind all the hassle of going through airport security, checking in, etc.

It seems like a consultant job would fit the bill, but can you guys think of any others?
Cruise ship nursing, maybe?

Travel nursing itself. Choose a specialty and select an agency and you're off to a new adventure every few months. Making good money too.

Quote from Ted DI don't have the 3 years in any one specialty that seems to be a requirement. Sadface

Informatics (EHR company)- systems implementation; Vendor rep (equip, pharm, etc); Regulatory 'visitor' (JC, CMS, state); Locums Administrator, NP, CRNA; Educator with specialty certification prep program; Corporate positions within a large health care system (like me)... including Quality, education, safety, audit, service line director, etc. As you can see by my list.. these jobs all require considerable expertise/education. But travel is definitely a required aspect of the job. It gets old very quickly. Airports are not fun.

Most of those "travel" jobs require more than one year of nursing.

Yeah, I was going to say "Cruise Ship" as well. I don't think the airlines are hiring any "in flight nurses" perhaps a new field?? There are usually positions with travel nurses in the mid east, but you are taking a huge risk there. Have you looked into Mexico or the Caribbean??

I guess I am thinking more in terms of product/device consulting.

I would love something in the middle east or Caribbean. Not concerned too much about safety. How tough is it to get in to one of these positions? Do you know of any reputable hospitals or agencies? I only speak English, unfortunately...
