Types of Nursing jobs with the typical 8am-4pm or 7am-5 pm hours

I was just wondering what kind of RN nursing jobs you can get with those hours? 8am-4pm or 7am-5pm
with what kind of experience? Many of those jobs will be found in areas not at the bedside. Those non bedside positions will require bedside experience at some point. Other areas may be outpatient office positions, some surgery centers, maybe some OR positions. However, nothing is guaranteed. If you are a new grad, you may find yourself waiting a long time or having to relocate for a job with those hours.
Comment:
Preop, PACU, IR, Cath lab, occupational health, IV therapy, home/outpatient infusions, home health, clinical instructor, and RN case manager. Most require prior RN experience.
Comment:
Preop, PACU, IR, Cath Lab all usually have call requirements that come with the job. Therefore they are still not the traditional 8 hour day setting. Doing call isn't for everyone.
Comment:
public health, research, clinic, doctor's office all have those hours plus no holidays or weekends.
Comment:
definitely clinics and outpatient surgery centers. They have standard office hours. Also case management jobs, home care, and insurance companies are all typical 8hr days and 8-4 or 9-5...as they work around patients schedules and most patients prefer daytime contact for non-emergency nursing care.
