New Grad in rural ER

Hey Guys,

After 80 or so applications, I got a job in a rural ER with 5 beds, 1 triage. I am concerned over the quality of my orientation and clinical experience as most our patients are truly clinic patients, and after 2 months, management is trying to rush me off of orientation (meaning there would be me and 1 other RN..EEkkk!) Luckily I put up a fit, and other nurses had my back so Im still on orientation. My orientation has mainly consisted of finding out where everything is, learning order sets, and asking lots of questions. I dont need "hand-holding" but I this is a much more "bare-bones" orientation than some other hospital facilities and I feel I could be missing out or potentially learn less. I am trying to apply to other ERs in the area, in hopes for some part time job that may provide me a more well rounded training. I have also done much studying on my own, as I want to get my TNCC in a few more months. Any Suggestions???

Thanks!!
Hi! How did everything work out? Did you move? Which region is the job in. I'm thinking of looking in the greater Chico area, so I can live in Chico and commute if needed. New grad as well.
