Transfering RN in license from compact state to compact state

I am looking into transferring my RN license from Kentucky to Georgia. Any advice or similar experiences?
What advice are you looking for? BTW, you're not "transferring (your) license," you're applying for a new license in GA. All the info and forms you need should be on the GA BON website -- just follow their instructions for applying for licensure "by endorsement."If you're asking about using your KY compact license to work in GA (while maintaining your permanent residence in KY), you don't need to do anything; just show up to work. Best wishes!

You are moving from a compact state to a non-compact state....you will need to apply for GA license and pay the fee but look on GA BON website to see if you will now have a single state license

Apply for your GA license through their BON, I would imagine this can all be done online. While it will mean paying for 2 licenses I would suggest not giving up your KY license as that is the compact state license. I too live in a border city between compact and non-compact states. Most of us nurses where I work maintain licensure in both states to keep more options for employment open.

Quote from chareYou have to maintain legal residency in a compact state to maintain multi-state privileges. If the OP is relocating to Georgia with a legal change of residency, the Kentucky license will lose its multi-state priveleges

Sadly, OP doesn't show a lot of the critical thinking required of today's RN students.I'd like to know what effort she put forth before coming to the dumping ground of All Nursing problems.
