Nurses - favorite part of your job and nursing school?Rating: (votes: 0) Thanks ![]() Nursing school is tough, I won't lie. But if I had to choose my favorite part, I guess its the relationships I formed with some of my classmates. Also, even though studying took up so much of my free time, I liked what I was learning. And working hard and accomplishing something that I wanted really badly is a great feeling. Not much comes close to the feeling I got on the day of my pinning ceremony when all that hard work finally paid off and I made it to the end. What a great feeling. Now, working as a nurse and still learning and putting the peices together in real life, also I'm blessed to be working with some great people as a new grad nurse and in a very supportive learning environment. I graduated in may and work on a tele floor. Comment:
My favorite part of nursing school was graduating. My second favorite was interpreting labs. Call me kooky, but I enjoyed putting the puzzle pieces together with everything else going on with my pts.My favorite part of work is pulling meds. I have no idea why.I also like taping report. Again, I have no idea why. I am told my report is highly entertaining, but informative. Must be my sense of humor.I love starting IVs and working with g-tubes and giving shots. I love manual tasks. My pts are drop-dead interesting. That is the fun of psych.I guess I love my job...For now.

I hated nursing school, but really admired how smart my fellow classmates were (after the 2nd semester, anyway). I was very happy to graduate. The best thing about being a nurse is that you are never bored, though honestly, I think it would be very hard for a young person to understand exactly HOW boring a job can be unless they have worked one. I also happen to love and respect the people I work on the floor with... And of course, though I like most of my patients, every now and then, you get someone special...

Hello, fellow Aggie! My favorite part of nursing school was my great classmates, some of whom I am still close friends with.My favorite part of working as a nurse is great coworkers. Hmm there is a theme here. I love psych, and I do find the patients and my work with them rewarding, but the relationships I form with my peers define my work experience and environment most of all.

I loved my pinning ceremony best! As for school I loved learning from teachers who clearly loved teaching and nursing. I love teachers who make learning interesting. I loved microbiology and learning about germs. I hope to be a l&d nurse some day because I also love women's health. At my current job I love patient teaching.

I hated every part of nursing school. Every part.It allowed me to get a job I love, however, and every day I'm allowed to work in that NICU I thank God for that crappy nursing school.

I absolutely thought nursing school was the most horrible thing ever. But the outcome was worth it. I enjoy my work, most of my co-workers, and the best part is the variety of things that happen

I didn't really like nursing school...probably my favorite part was my classmates.I enjoy nursing. My favorite things are starting IV's or dealing with a pt that is going downhill. I know that sounds weird, but just doing simple nursing tasks for people that are the norm isn't too thrilling. Fixing problems for someone that is having acute issues is much more exciting.
