I LOVE nursing and I LOVE allnursesRating: (votes: 0) Thank you to everyone here at allnurses. I have been coming here for advice long before I even started nursing school. I have received advice here that money could never buy. I thank all of you; seasoned nurses, new nurses like myself and students, too. You have all contributed to shape me into the person/nurse I am today, and I know this site will always be a valuable resource. Thank you, thank you. :heartbeat from one new nurse to another...ditto to your entire post Comment:
Aww, sweet. You must be a fairly new nurse. Talk to me in 10 years.

As a fellow new nurse I want to say DITTO to your post! I also want to say dont let ANYONE crush your enthusiasm or compassion!

Being a hospital CNA for 2 years, I still love my job to pieces but you will have some bad days. The bad comes with the good and don't think any less of yourself when you lose patience with your patients, it will happen. Like another poster said, you have great enthusiasm, don't let anyone take that away from you.

I too agree with this post! I work on AL unit and it can be crazy, but I love my job there. I am working hard now to get my ADN, but I know it will be worth it in the end

I love my job too, and I fully expect to still love it 7 years from now when I will have been a nurse for 10 years. Of course I guess I can't know that for sure, but I will be sure to let you all know 7 years from now!

I had a really, really bad day yesterday...Everything from being yelled at by a doc to a pt dying on me in a very unexpectedly and for lack of a better word violent way...I still love my job and am so grateful to have a good career in this economy. thanks again to everyone. I am holding on to my enthusiasm, it's my life force. I will not allow anyone to take it from me.

Another day gone by....So much better than the last two. There are good days and bad for sure, but I get a thrill out of what I am doing every day. Even if it's just making a patient a tiny bit more comfortable in bed or helping them understand a new med...It's all good. When it stops being more good than bad, I will move on.
