Do you think creating a personal website would be creative in getting a job?

I thought about making my own website in promoting myself, but it will be very professional.. nothing like facebook. and i was wondering if i would add on the webpage pictures of me volunteering or something creative working in a nursing home.. and interacting with patients... Does anyone think this is a good idea?
Hospitals consider it a MAJOR violation to post personal photos of any kind of patient interaction online or on any social media. Even if you were volunteering I'm not sure they would look well upon it. Never heard of anyone doing this for nursing so not sure it would be the best way to go about getting a job

Oh thanks i'm glad... i was just asking before i even thought about doing any of this.. and no im not going to do that....i think a resume would be better of course.... i also actually meant how should i market myself in getting a job or so....i may not add pictures...

Since there seem to be roughly 100 applicants (at least) for every available open position, I sincerely doubt that any employer or HR personnel would take the time to visit the website of an applicant.

come on guys let's be openhearted ... i am just thinking of creative ways to make myself stand out.. if you dont think this is one way then list some ideas.... i just need some creative ways to think outside of the box other than a general standard resume...

If you ask me, the #1 way to stand out is to NOT stand out.Your resume should be impeccably written and formatted. Absolutely 100% correct in spelling and grammar. A resume service would be well worth the expenditure.I truly am not trying to rain on your parade, but nursing managers do not want to see evidence of creativity, per se. They want to see the resume of someone who can follow the rules of resume creation. They want the pertinent information without having to wade through extraneous information or be smacked in the face by grammatical malfeasance.

I see what you're saying. . all opinions matter to me. The managers basically want to see if the employee per say follows directions. Basically, keep it plain and simple in this case... You're so right . and I will take a piece of your advice. I don't want to look like a fool doing interviews... Thanks so much for responding to me...
